Why Study Abroad During the Summer?
Students often look into summer study abroad programs because they don't have space in their academic plans to do a semester abroad, or because they are looking for a more affordable way to go abroad. Studying abroad during the summer offers the opportunity to gain new perspectives about a country while enjoying academic, career, intercultural, and personal growth.
Whether you study the Mediterranean diet in Florence, Spanish in Cusco, or Business in Hong Kong, there’s no better time to immerse yourself in a new culture, gain a new perspective on your world, and enhance your academics. Choose from dozens of quality options all over the world!
UConn offers many affordable study abroad opportunities. Did you know that taking six credits and signing up for housing and a meal plan over the summer in Storrs can cost between $5,000 and $7,000? A typical UConn summer study abroad program costs between $4,000 and $6,000. Many scholarship opportunities are available to help further defray the cost!
