Petition for a New Program

If you would like to participate in a study abroad program not currently offered by the UConn Office of Global Affairs – Education Abroad, you must first make an appointment with an Education Abroad Advisor. After discussing your plans to petition with an Education Abroad Advisor, you will be given the link to apply through the Education Abroad website.

Please also note: your proposed program will need to be reviewed and approved by your Academic Advisor and the Office of Global Affairs – Education Abroad.

The Academics

In order to earn credit at UConn for courses, individual courses must be approved by a designated UConn course evaluator and assigned a UConn course number. Complete instructions for this process can be found under Academics.
