Education Abroad


Valerie advises CLAS students in Anthropology, Communications, Human Development and Family Studies, Linguistics, Political Science, Psychological Sciences, Public Policy, Sociology and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. Valerie earned a M.A. in international education at the School for International Training (SIT) Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont and a B.A. in English with a minor in art history from the University of Hartford. She is a first generation college student with a passionate for education abroad student diversity and accessibility, scholarships, and service learning initiatives. Valerie lived in Tempe, AZ following her graduate degree, where she applied the founding principles of experiential learning and international education to the creation of a skill building program for newly arrived refugee families from around the globe.
