Inga Pötzl

Education Abroad Advisor and Baden-Wuerttemberg - Connecticut Exchange Coordinator

Education Abroad

Before taking over the coordination of the Baden-Wuerttemberg – Connecticut Exchange Program at the University of Connecticut in October 2017, Inga Pötzl worked as a Program Officer for the German-American Fulbright Commission for over a decade. She was responsible for planning and implementing educational exchange programs for teachers and university administrators. Inga completed a Master’s degree in American Studies and Cultural Studies at Leipzig University. Her study abroad experience at SUNY Binghamton culminated in a comparative analysis of German and American writers’ portrayal of the “New Woman” in the 1920s and 1930s that deepened her interest in juxtaposing literary and historical movements in both countries. Inga is excited to continue working in the realm of German-American relations and supporting UConn and other institutions of higher education in Connecticut in maintaining and extending their good relations with Germany.
